An overview of the nutrients
We are often asked the question: What do the individual nutrients actually do?
Well, that can get really complicated at times. That's why we're going to explain a few of the nutrients that you can find in our Spirulina Crackers Classic or other products! You can always find detailed information on the respective products.
Omega 3
Omega 3 is probably the most famous fatty acid. Unfortunately, the average Austrian consumes too little of it, which is why one often hears that one should eat more fish.
But why eat fish when you can also eat seaweed, the fish do it that way too. The best thing about it: our Cracker Classic have more Omega 3 than salmon & are completely vegan!
iron
An iron deficit is the most common trace element deficiency worldwide. According to the National Consumption Study II, 14% of men and 58% of women in Germany do not meet their daily requirements.
Iron contributes to the normal formation of hemoglobin and red blood cells, as well as to the regular transport of oxygen in the body, thereby reducing tiredness and fatigue.
Magnesium
Bananas are rich in magnesium & contain 36 mg per 100 g, but Spirulix Cracker Classic provides you with a whopping 244 mg in comparison - that's 65% of the daily amount you need!
Magnesium is not only popular with athletes, but also fulfills important functions for everyone! It contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue & plays a role in the normal functioning of the nervous system.
zinc
In order for our body to be able to absorb all nutrients properly, it needs certain means to get the engine running. Zinc is one of them.
It is also relevant for maintaining healthy skin, hair and nails. It also plays a role in the immune system and contributes to normal fertility.
manganese
Our cells also feel stress. But there are tools to protect our little helpers in the body against oxidative stress. Manganese is one of them!
Horseradish (or horseradish) normally contains a lot of manganese. With five times as much manganese, namely 2.3 mg per 100 g, our Bangkok spirulina crackers win hands down! Not even lentils can keep up, because our crackers contain almost twice as much manganese.
Calcium
Everyone probably knows this truism: "Children need calcium for bone growth."
But why would an adult human need calcium now? As soon as growth stops, degradation begins again. Calcium is important for maintaining bones.
copper
Copper is not only a metal that can be used to create many works of art, but also a really important nutrient.
Copper should always be taken with iron as it improves the distribution of iron in the body. In addition, copper helps to protect our cells from oxidative stress and helps the body build a functioning immune system.
Folic acid - vitamin B9
Folic acid is one of the so-called B vitamins. Like the other B vitamins, folic acid also plays a role in the immune system and metabolism.
Folate (as folic acid is also known) plays an important role in pregnant women in particular, as it supports the growth of maternal tissue
Our Cracker Classic have a very high content of folic acid and are therefore also a great snack for pregnant women!
Biotin - Vitamin B7
With vitamin B7, also known as biotin or vitamin H, it is important that it is taken daily because the body has no storage for biotin.
Biotin promotes skin cell regeneration, supports the development of hair follicles & contributes to the maintenance of normal skin.
Biotin is mainly found in high amounts in liver, egg yolk or our Spirulina Cracker Classic!
If you are unsure whether you are consuming too much or too little of a nutrient, we recommend consulting your doctor.
Every year you have the opportunity to have your blood values tested as part of the health check-up. This is also a way to investigate any nutrient deficiencies!
